The Northside Grizzlies will be taking part in the Blue Springs (Mo.) Basketball Tournament starting on Thursday.

Northside plays the first game of the eight-team tournament at 4 p.m. against Kansas City-area school Lincoln Prep.

The winner of that matchup will advance to the semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday against the winner of the game between Blue Springs and Jefferson City (Mo.), which follows the Northside-Lincoln Prep game at 5:30 p.m.

The Northside-Lincoln Prep loser will go to the consolation round and will play at 4 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, the championship game takes place at 6 p.m.

Other first-round games in Blue Springs on Thursday include Missouri schools Blue Springs South against Jennings at 7 p.m., and Kansas City Rockhurst taking on Arkansas school Bentonville at 8:30 p.m.
