For the second straight season, the Northside Lady Bears claimed the championship of the Great 8 Classic in Rogers.

Northside rolled to a 63-36 win Saturday against Ozark, Mo.

Four Lady Bears reached double figures in the win, with Jazz Coleman leading the way with 13 points. Tracey Bershers and Sara Bershers added 12 apiece, while Jersey Wolfenbarger finished with 11.

Northside (4-0) will now attempt to repeat as champions of the Taco Bell Tournament of Champions, with the annual tournament beginning Thursday at Southside.

Grizzlies split pair

Northside’s boys split a pair of games in the Gold Bracket of the Arlington (Texas) Classic on Saturday.

The Grizzlies lost in the semifinals to Waxahachie (Texas), 55-46. Jaylin Williams had 13 points and Javion Releford 12 for Northside.

But the Grizzlies went on to take third place in the bracket with a 43-36 win against DeSoto (Texas). Williams had 15 and Releford 12 win the win for Northside (4-2).
