FORT SMITH (KFSM)- Northside started their season with a devastating home loss to Greenwood, but since then they have been on a roll, with back-to-back shut out victories on the road.

"We didn't like the way it started with Greenwood," said head coach Mike Falleur. "We felt like we didn't play very well, but Greenwood did. It's been good to get back on track and for us to progress and win those three football games."

The Grizzlies defeated 7A-Central rivals Bryant 29-0 and Little Rock Central 19-0. The defense credits their ability to silence opponents offensively to the preparation they put in each week on and off the field.

"Just the start of every week we come in and we focus in on what we have to do," said senior Tanner Cross. "That's just a testimony to our hard work through out the week and how well we are preparing right now."

Confidence is what Northside will be looking to bring into Friday's game against Little Rock Catholic. It will be their first game back at home since playing the Bulldogs. They are not only wanting another win, but they are also striving for their third-consecutive shutout.

"It's a big game for us," said senior Matthew Jackson. "The momentum from the shutouts is only going to make us want to shut them out even more. It's just going to make us play harder since we are at home."

Northside will face Little Rock Catholic at home Friday at 7:00 p.m.
